I interviewed Marvin Gaye a few hours before his 1974 appearance in Atlanta which was taped for the Midnight Special.  The producers staged a scene for the show's opening in which reporters and a crowd of people surrounded Marvin on his way to the elevators of the Hyatt Regency where he was staying.  I was front and center.  I missed the beginning of the televised show, so everyone seems to have seen this moment except me.  It's been years and I'd forgotten about it until TV One broadcast another of his concerts earlier tonight.  If anyone has this show on tape, would you mind sharing the opening segments of it with me?  I'd love to see it.
